Our working flower farm is circled by the mountains of Alaska’s Matanuska Valley. Mountain Field Farm makes a great base camp for visitors to experience the magical and natural beauty of Alaska, while just minutes from the historic and quaint town of Palmer.

Our 1935 Colony Barn and Courtyard Cottage have been meticulously designed with every detail in mind. The perfect spot for a honeymoon or special getaway. Rest beautifully on our 20 acre flower farm surrounded by spectacular mountains.

It makes me so happy to announce the new owners of Mountain Field Farm. Amber of @wildwoodflowerco_ and her sister @jennifer.lynn.cole will be at the helm. Along with their husbands, they are well-known in the community not only for their many businesses but, more importantly, for their big hearts, generous spirits, incredible work ethic, creativity, and unwavering support of Palmer, the Matanuska Valley, and Alaska. Their dedication to fostering community makes them the perfect stewards for the farm’s next chapter.

What makes this transition so special is knowing that the farm’s purpose and legacy will live on. The fields will continue to bloom with flowers, the land will remain a cherished gathering place for weddings and community events, and visitors from around the world will still find beauty and connection here. The farm’s conservation easement, established with the Alaska Farmland Trust, ensures that this land will be protected and honored as farmland forever. I am so grateful to the Alaska Farmland Trust and the incredible people who have worked tirelessly with me to safeguard this legacy and preserve the heart of the farm for future generations.

Reflecting on the past seven years, it’s hard to believe how much has been accomplished since we began the journey to bring the farm back to life. From renovating the barn to planting the first fields of peonies, every step has been a labor of love. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved and deeply thankful for everyone who contributed to making it possible.

Now, I am really excited to see how Amber, Jennifer, @mrlanphier and @coled_alaska will build upon this foundation. Their passion, talent, and vision inspire me and make it a little easier to let go, knowing the farm is in such capable and loving hands. I am excited to see the new ideas, creativity, and growth they will bring to Mountain Field Farm for the community to enjoy. ❤️ ~Sarah
